Anyway, after trying it out on several old videos I had that had been taken in the days of 480p videocassette camcorders, I have to say it does a fairly decent job of enhancing those old videos and upscaling them to 1080p. They ended up giving me the trial license without requiring the review, which I appreciated, but still, it made me mistrust their other 5-star reviews. I told them I would not give ANY review, much less a 5-star one, before I'd used the software for a while. When I contacted HitPaw support to see if they would switch the subscription, instead they offered me a free one-month trial of their desktop software unlimited version if I would first give them a 5-star review here. ![]() I did notice (after subscribing for a week) that I could subscribe for a month for only about a dollar more, and I would get "unlimited file size" and "unlimited files per day". I thought that limitation would be removed by subscribing. However I could only upload 100MB/5 minute videos, which was the same as the limit on the free tryout they offered. ![]() I subscribed for a week of the HitPaw Video Enhancer online tool to try it out. ![]() I'm giving the average of 3 stars for performance and 1 star for asking for a 5-star review before trying the product.
